I didn't start this nonprofit because I was looking for a project.
I started it because I know what it feels like to be pulled out of the dark by an animal that asked for nothing in return.
My cats have carried me through some of the hardest seasons of my life. They have been a source of comfort when I felt alone, a reason to get out of bed on days that felt impossible, and a constant reminder that love doesn't always come in the form of words (or humans). They have helped heal parts of me that I didn't think could heal. In many ways, they saved me—spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and in countless ways I'll probably never be able to fully explain.
My love for animals didn't begin there. I've cared deeply about them for as long as I can remember. Even as a little girl, I couldn't understand why innocent creatures were made to suffer. My little sister shared that same heart. We were the kids who wanted to stop and help every stray, who cried over stories of abused animals, who believed every life mattered, no matter how small.
As I got older, that feeling never faded. It only grew stronger.
Then I learned more about the unimaginable cruelty taking place in cat torture rings, the worst operating in China. The reality of what these animals endure is something I wish didn't exist. Knowing that there are cats living through such unimaginable suffering has stayed with me. I couldn't look away, and I couldn't pretend someone else would fix it.
I realized that the love my cats gave me came with a responsibility.
This nonprofit exists because I want to give something back.
While we may not be able to save every animal ourselves, we can strengthen the people and organizations already doing lifesaving work. Our goal is to raise funds that directly support trusted rescue groups, sanctuaries, advocacy organizations, and those fighting against cruelty wherever it exists. Every dollar raised is another opportunity to help an animal find safety, receive medical care, or simply experience kindness for the first time.
I believe compassion has a ripple effect. One act of kindness becomes another. One rescued animal inspires another rescue. One person deciding to care can change a life that otherwise would have been forgotten.
This mission is deeply personal to me. It always will be.
Everything we do is rooted in gratitude—for the animals who have loved us without conditions, who have given us hope when we needed it most, and who continue to remind us that even in a world capable of great cruelty, there is still room for compassion.
If you've ever been loved by an animal, then you already understand.
